The crew over at Jalopnik somehow managed to sneak a few official sketches of the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and even a little info on the beast's new engine.

The outgoing SRT8 Grand Cherokee used a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8 and sent 420 hp to all four wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. That powertrain promised sub-5 second 0-60 runs, even on wet pavement. However, off-road performance suffered thanks to the 20-inch rims and low profile tires.

We've been told the 2010 SRT8 Grand Cherokee will feature a 6.4-liter Hemi. That Hemi is the 392 crate motor that makes 525 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque according to Mopar's own site. It's unknown if the output will differ when installed in a production vehicle, but it's a safe bet to assume this monster will be producing 500+ hp. Look for awd and the automatic transmission to carry over.
